We are seeking a highly motivated, organized individual to work on the areas of bone marrow microenvironments and hematopoietic stem cells using various mouse models and in vitro analyses. These projects use various techniques including (i) Frozen tissue section, (ii) immunofluorescence staining / laser scanning cytometry / 3D confocal microscopy, (iii) flow cytometry, (iv) recombinant DNA techniques, and (v) cellular and molecular analyses. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about the world of research (planning, data analysis, scientific communication, etc.) as well as techniques for frozen tissue section, immunofluorescence staining, 2D and 3D imaging, molecular biology, cell biology and mouse genetics under close guidance. The candidate must be a responsible individual with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. A two-year minimum commitment is required. BA/BS or MS in Biology or related field is required. Directly related laboratory experience is a plus.
