Longwood Medical Area CyTOF - Fourth Users Group Meeting

A group meeting for users of the CyTOF to be held at 10 am on Dec. 3, 2013 at HMS in the Modell Center seminar room (http://www.hms.harvard.edu/dms/immunology/images/ModellCenter.pdf). The speakers will be Nicole Carlson (CyTOF Core Operator) and Jana Jakubikova (from the Kenneth Anderson lab at DFCI). The meeting will have a group meeting-like format. Nicole and Jana will present their work, with an emphasis on describing assay and protocol development—presentations and discussions will focus on sharing challenges and strategies for problem solving rather than on polished research presentations. Going forward, we plan to hold user meetings like this on a bi-monthly basis, with new speakers for each meeting. We think that increasing interactions among members of the CyTOF users community via these meetings will help to speed assay optimization for individual users, development of useful antibody panels, and sharing of effective data analysis strategies. We look forward to seeing you in December!
