Rally for Ali supports HSCI diabetes research

When Alison Urzan died at age 48 from complications related to type 1 diabetes, her family and friends organized a fundraising event in her honor called “Rally for Ali.” At Ali’s direction, funds raised at this event were directed to HSCI to go toward research for a cure for diabetes.

On September 25, her family organized the 2nd Annual Rally for Ali, which included a “Picnic for a Cause” and a motorcycle and car cavalcade around the Tomhannock Reservoir in upstate New York. Despite their loss, Ali’s family remains committed to and optimistic about the promise of a cure through research.
