Vacanti Laboratory

Postdoctoral Fellow position is open in the Vacanti Laboratory for Tissue Engineering and Organ Fabrication (PI: Cathryn Sundback, ScD). The laboratory is located in the Center for Regenerative Medicine in a world-class research facility at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.  A program is underway with an industrial partner to develop decellularized extracellular matrices as surgical scaffolds, with a particular emphasis on wound healing applications.

The successful candidate will be a critical team member in this collaborative and interdisciplinary research program. Post-doctoral applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. with an excellent demonstrated record of research. The candidate should be open-minded, creative, energetic, have strong expertise and an experimental background in biology or bioengineering, with demonstrated practical biological experience.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in fibrosis and/or wound healing.  Knowledge of molecular and cellular biology and microscopic imaging techniques is required, and a background in immunology is a plus.

Applicants should submit their curriculum vitae including a list of publications and experience, three letters of reference, and a description of current research to csundback@partners.org.
