Postdoctoral Fellow. 2-year minimum commitment required.
The Vacanti Laboratory for Tissue Engineering and Organ Fabrication is located in the Center for Regenerative Medicine in a world-class research facility at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. We are seeking a motivated research fellow for a highly dynamic project with aggressive multi-year milestones to develop a micro device for in vitro biological applications (PI: Cathryn Sundback, Sc.D.). iPS-derived cells are coupled with novel materials in a microfluidic flow platform designed using computational fluid dynamics. The successful candidate will be a critical team member in this collaborative, interdisciplinary, multi-institutional research program.
Postdoctoral applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D. with an excellent demonstrated record of research. The candidate should be open-minded, creative, energetic, have strong expertise and an experimental background in microfluidics or bioengineering, with practical biological experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in microfluidic systems for biological applications. Basic knowledge of molecular and cellular biology and microscopic imaging techniques is required. Backgrounds in vascular biology and cells-material interactions are desirable.
Applicants should submit their curriculum vitae including list of publications and experience, three letters of reference, and a description of current research to email@example.com.
