If you are considering giving a gift to HSCI in tax year 2012, there are a few factors to keep in mind to make sure that Harvard is able to give you a tax receipt for calendar year 2012 instead of 2013.  If you are sending a check, please make sure that the envelope is postmarked no later than 12/31/2012, or, if you are using a service other than US Mail, that the package arrives at Harvard no later than 12/31/2012.  Bank Wires (call 617-495-1750 for instructions) and Electronic Securities Transfers (call 866-845-6596 for assistance) must be received in Harvard’s account no later than 12/31/2012.  Credit card gifts may be donated online at https://secure.www.alumniconnections.com/olc/pub/HAA/onlinegiving/showGi... and must be charged to your account no later than12/31/2012 in order to occur within tax year 2012.
