“Our mission is to transform the lives of patients through bone marrow stem cell transplants and to make them better. The good news is we are not starting from scratch.” Gardner is a Founder and CEO of Magenta Therapeutics, a startup company focused on revolutionizing bone marrow transplantation for patients with immune and blood-based diseases. Research from the labs of HSCI Co-director David Scadden and HSCI Principal Faculty Derrick Rossi serves as the scientific foundation for the company. Work from one of the projects in the HSCI-GSK collaboration also was incorporated into the company.
