Gregory named Millipore Foundation Seed Grant Fellow

In 2007, the Millipore Foundation made a generous gift of $500,000 to the HSCI Seed Grant Program to support one recipient a year for the next five years. Now in its sixth year, the institute’s Seed Grant Program provides two years of funding for projects in diverse areas of stem cell research that will advance HSCI’s mission.

2010 seed grant recipient Richard Gregory, PhD, of Children’s Hospital Boston, has been named HSCI’s second Millipore Foundation Seed Grant Fellow. The topic of the research supported by Gregory’s seed grant is “Molecular and cellular function of a novel stem cell factor Trim71,” which aims to provide greater insight into the molecular factors in stem cell self-renewal and differentiation. The first fellow was 2008 HSCI seed grant recipient Sangeeta Bhatia, MD, PhD.
