First Annual Rally for Ali

One year after Alison Urzan’s untimely death due to complications of type one, insulin-dependent diabetes, her friends and family came together to hold the First Annual Rally for Ali. The benefit began with a motorcycle cavalcade through the some of the beautiful landscapes of upstate New York that Ali and her husband enjoyed cruising. The ride was followed by a picnic that included live music, games, door prizes, and raffles, the proceeds from which were donated to HSCI.

When Ali’s mother, Alice, was asked why they chose HSCI, she said, “That’s where Ali would want the contributions to go. To go to research toward a cure.”

The planning for this year’s rally is well underway and is currently scheduled for October 2 in Halfmoon, New York. For more information, visit rally4ali.blogspot.com.
