Fellowships

The following is a list of postdoctoral and research fellowships available within the HSCI community:

Fishman Lab: Postdoctoral Fellow

The Fishman lab in the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology at Harvard University, in collaboration with the Engert Lab in MCB of Harvard, is launching a program to define in zebrafish the function of heart-brain neural connectivity. The goal is a full definition of: what sensory nerves measure within the heart and vasculature; how they connect to central nervous system centers; and how such information is integrated and used to control cardiovascular function. The technical approaches includes single cell transcriptomics, electrophysiology and optogenetics, and electron microscopy.... Read more about Fishman Lab: Postdoctoral Fellow

Melton Lab: Computational Postdoctoral Researcher

The laboratory of Dr. Douglas Melton at Harvard University seeks a creative and highly collaborative computational postdoctoral researcher. The goal of the Melton laboratory is applying developmental biology to understand and change the course of diabetes. We are particularly focused on generating functional human islets from pluripotent stem cells to study and cure type 1 diabetes.... Read more about Melton Lab: Computational Postdoctoral Researcher

Melero-Martin Lab: Postdoctoral Fellows

Postdoctoral researcher positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Juan Melero-Martin at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The postdoctoral researchers will work on NIH-funded projects to study human pluripotent stem cells’ differentiation into tissue-specific vascular cells for use in regenerative medicine. The overarching goal of the lab is to develop novel approaches to vascularization and tissue regeneration. Work will involve human stem cell culture, molecular biology, and mouse xenograft models.... Sahin Lab: Postdoctoral Fellow

The Sahin Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital (in the Department of Neurology and Kirby Neurobiology Program) has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to study the cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders such as tuberous sclerosis. The lab seeks to understand the gene and protein alterations that results in abnormal neuronal connectivity using genetically engineered mice, behavioral and electrophysiological phenotyping, patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells, rodent and human neuronal cultures, RNA-Seq, TRAP, single cell sequencing, high-content cellular imaging technologies. Fundamental knowledge gained from these approaches will be leveraged to develop novel therapeutic approaches to treat neurodevelopmental disorders. To this end, the group frequently works translationally with clinicians, patient advocacy groups and industry partners to pursue therapeutic discovery and the fellow will have the opportunity to engage in these activate collaborations.... Karmacharya Lab: Postdoctoral Fellow

Job Type: Postdoctoral Fellow

Job Location: Center for Genomic Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital

The Karmacharya lab is located in the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and part of the Harvard Program in Neuroscience and the Harvard Chemical Biology program. Our lab is interested in developing innovative stem cell-based models to interrogate the molecular and cellular underpinnings of neuropsychiatric disorders.... Perlis Lab: Postdoctoral Fellow

The Perlis Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School is seeking highly motivated post-doctoral fellow candidates. The post-doctoral fellow will lead projects investigating mechanisms of aberrant microglial-mediated synaptic pruning in patient-derived cellular models of schizophrenia and other neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, using genomic and small molecule perturbagens....
