Off the Record with the(sugar)science

Off the Record is a 30 minute conversation and scheduled for Dec 17 @ 9amPT. The discussion will focus on the idea that islet transplantation should in “best practice” follow some of the rules that placental/fetal implant does. Attaining secure vascularization, oxygenation, and avoiding detection by the immune system at at the top of the list.

Joining us to date, are post-docs and EC scientists from Harvard, Stanford, UCIrvine bioengineering, UCSF, City of Hope, UFLA and several scientists from Europe. The tone is meant to resemble “a Gordon conference after hours” and should spark that kind of connection and conversation.
