Share your own research by submitting an abstract. Concurrent speaking slots as well as poster and travel awards are selected from the abstracts we receive. Read the Call for Abstracts for more information. The deadline for submitting an abstract is February 11, 2014.

Discover additional topics and perspectives in stem cell science by participating in our Wednesday morning events, including the Industry Wednesday Symposia and Focus Sessions, and Meet-up Hubs.

Travel Awards are available. When submitting your abstract, apply to be considered for a travel award. These awards will cover the cost of your registration and include a stipend to help defray the costs of traveling to Vancouver.

Poster Awards. Trainee members can also elect to be considered for a Poster Award when submitting their abstract. The six 2013 winners received complimentary registration to the 2014 Annual Meeting, a one-year subscription to Cell Stem Cell and Current Protocols in Stem Cell Biology and a cash stipend. In addition, each was given the opportunity to present their poster as a 10-minute talk on ISSCR Connect, which was made available to all registrants of the 2013 Annual Meeting last August.

Special Interest Group Meet-Ups. Several hubs have been set aside on the exhibition hall floor to provide informal meeting areas for groups interested in discussing research and related topics of mutual interest. If you are interested in developing and moderating such a session, contact Carl Wonders.

Plan to arrive early! Each year, the ISSCR offers Focus Sessions and Industry Wednesday Symposia the morning before the start of the Annual Meeting. These sessions provide opportunities for members, non-profit organizations and companies to extend the range of topics covered by the meeting.

•    Focus Sessions are member-organized presentations that offer parallel, in-depth educational opportunities and explore unique issues relating to stem cell research. To date, two Focus Sessions are being organized:

Ethics, Stem Cells and the Information Age – presented by the ISSCR Ethics and Public Policy Committee

Engaging the Engine - How Public/Private Partnerships Between Academia and Industry Can Facilitate More Efficient Translation – presented by the ISSCR Industry and Junior Investigator Committees.  HSCI's Brock Reeve will participate on the panel!

If you are interested in proposing a Focus Session to add to the 2014 pre-meeting program, download the Request for Proposals.

Help spread the word! Download the ISSCR 12th Annual Meeting PowerPoint® slide for use in your next presentation.
