Anonymous gift to support innovative science

This past spring, Harvard University received a gift of $10 million from an anonymous donor, of which $7 million was given to HSCI and $3 million to the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (SCRB). This generous gift will be used to support seed grants and junior faculty programs at HSCI, and new junior faculty positions at SCRB.

Both seed grants and junior faculty programs provide critical support for scientists who are conducting innovative high-risk, high-return projects. These initiatives are a cornerstone in advancing HSCI’s innovative and collaborative approach to research by providing junior scientists an opportunity to pursue some of their most creative ideas and with it, a chance to make bold new discoveries.
