Position Title: Postdoctoral fellow in brain tumor therapy research
Application deadline: Open
Comments: The Stem Cell Therapeutics Imaging Program and Molecular Neuro therapy & Imaging Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow interested in tumor therapy research. Our laboratory focuses on engineering stem cell based apoptotic, antiangiogenic and oncolytic virus based therapies for primary and metastatic brain tumor. Inherently linked to the brain tumor therapy paradigm, we employ fluorescent/bioluminescent imaging markers and optical imaging techniques to image stem cell fate and monitor the effect of therapeutic protein delivered to tumors. In an effort to develop combination therapies for tumors, we are also interested in altering the EGFR/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway that is frequently overactive in brain tumors.
Applicants should have a PhD degree or equivalents, with experience in one or more of the following techniques such as stem cell biology, gene cloning, vector construction and animal surgeries. We offer excellent training opportunities in a collaborative research environment including molecular biology, virology, stem cell biology, gene delivery to brain tumors and imaging disciplines.
Interested applicants please email your resume along with a cover letter describing research experience and interests and two references to Ms. Anusha at firstname.lastname@example.org
