The workforce needs of life sciences organizations today are more dynamic and specialized than ever, but training in academia has not always prepared scientists for roles in the industry. To bridge this gap, many biotech employers have developed industry postdoctoral programs to provide necessary training and development for Ph.D.-trained scientists entering the workforce.

This event will highlight:
•Best practices to build a postdoctoral program that ensures sustainability, effectiveness, and benefit to the trainee and the organization.
•How organizations have developed successful bench and non-bench research postdoctoral positions (such as regulatory and medical affairs).
•How the growing need for training across many disciplines is crucial for success in the life sciences sector.
•Profile a large established company with a long-standing successful postdoctoral program as well as growing mid-sized biotech organizations that have recently implemented postdoctoral programs.
•Evaluating organizational goals when setting up a postdoc program.
