The March for Science – Boston is one of a number sister marches in support of scientific education and research that will be held across the United States and around the world on April 22nd, Earth Day. The March will be a non-partisan celebration of the extraordinary contributions that science has made to human health and prosperity. It will be held on Boston Common starting at 2:00 p.m.
The Longwood scientific community will be holding a rally prior to the Boston March. The rally will be held on the Harvard Medical School Quadrangle, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The rally will feature speeches by distinguished members of the Longwood scientific community, as well as patients and families whose lives have been personally affected by advances in biomedical research. At ~12:00 p.m. the rally attendees will march en masse to Boston Common to join the Boston March.
